The management of water consumption, as well as its treatment and recycling, are part of the Doux Group's day-to-day concerns. A self-monitoring system is in place on all the sites, with regular water analyses carried out: the results are constantly monitored and corrective actions are taken immediately if required.

Most of our sites have their own water treatment facilities, making it possible to recover and treat wastewater. In this way, the Châteaulin site (Finistère, France) has an equivalent treatment plant to a large town of 160,000 people.

Thanks to these facilities, the treated water can be recycled and used to wash trucks and containers for instance.

The quality teams and the Veterinary Services Department constantly control water quality based on various daily, weekly and monthly analyses.
